Our latest interview is with leading protest singer, and activist, David Rovics.

In the interview, we discuss music, politics and, of course, Phil Ochs.

Also, David talks about Afghanistan and Iraq, why giving music away is better than selling it, how far apart - politically - the US and the EU are, and what it's like being monitored by the FBI.

More information on David can be found at the David Rovics Website

2 Ochs Covers on new Album by Michael Weston King

The new album from UK singer songwriter Michael Weston King will be released in May. Entitled, "I DIDN'T RAISE MY BOY TO BE A SOLDIER'", it is an album made up entirely of Protest Songs.

Some new ones, written specially for the project, along with his interpretation, and re-working of some older ones, not just from the 60's but some dating back as far as the 1900's.

All these songs are as relevant now, as when they were first written. A sad indication of the times, but fascinating to hear these old songs ring true today.

A Statement from nomoresongs.com

A few weeks ago, I received an e-mail from Universal Music Group, demanding the removal of all files from the Downloads section of nomoresongs.com. After making enquiries regarding the e-mail, it became apparent that UMG are not only amongst the most prolific issuers of such takedown notices, but also just about the most ruthless with regards to the further pursuit of legal retribution in copyright disputes.
